… The member drive is going on at MPR and I’d like to donate because I listen to the feed now. Unfortunately, I feel no need to contribute to the current and have no way of making a specific donation. So my money stays with me.
… I’m headed back to Milwaukee for another weekend where I’m essentially planned solid. I’ll be taking the bus again so I’ve got a few books to bring along. I’m going to finish Ecology of Commerce, start No Logo and this is highly unlikely maybe This Land is Their Land. I’m such a hippie.
… At the Victoria’s Secret store in Uptown, there’s a storefront ad for the BioFit bra. The model looks like Aaliyah from my view standing at the bus stop across the street. Unsettling.
… As mentioned previously, this blog will be moving you’ll have ample warning to a new section of interweb. I looked at stats to get a better idea of my standing. In the last year there have been 2,200 pageviews on 1,700 visits from 76 cities in nine countries. One-third of those visits came from Facebook. Thanks to all of you smart, handsome, readers.
… and finally:
I’m happy to announce I’m now posting to Sex Drugs and Intellectual Freedom in addition to here and tumblr. I’ll be cross-posting my more relevant thoughts there and using the “The Sky is Falling” feature to focus my pessimism to a new and maybe larger audience. The site’s aiming for a redesign along a similar time-table to my own.
Those of you not reading SDIF should. Not because I’m writing there though, as mentioned two sentences ago, I am but because it brings up interesting topics alongside humorous videos and oddities.

I can’t see her face, the room is dark. On stage, the writer reads about his past. He’s funny and, like so many others, she responds with laughter. Unlike the hundreds in attendance, her laugh is a halted, loud honking.
She’s a goose in a human suit. Her laugh shakes the earth, drawing attention from many in a forty-foot radius. Most of them turn subtly, glancing over, trying to put a face to the acoustic bombardment without her noticing. Some shake their heads without turning to look, acknowledging her outbursts. (more…)

What do you get when you reduce every argument to its lowest point, cater to the lowest common denominator or attack character over policy?
I’ll give you a hint.
While deplorable, what other reaction was expected from angry citizens? They have no outlet, no voice and are actively ignored. The media covers politicians on the same level of celebrities or reality “stars,” disrespecting them while they disrespect each other with attack ads and debates on character more than policy.
I would never condone vandalism or unproductive outbursts in any form but it’s the first bi-partisan action I’ve seen since the oppressive “Patriot” act passed through a scared-shitless electorate. I assume no one else will take it as I did.

Lately CraigsList.org has been my bitch. I’ve sold a digital camera, an AM/FM radio, a Game Boy Color and some others with more interest in more stuff. I won’t go into how much I’ve made because I have no idea but I’m pissing opulence.
Yesterday I purchased a domain name brainstorming my new chunk of interweb. Tonight I’m taking Girlfriend out for a fine, celebratory dinner in honor of her being previous age + 1. With such grandiose affluence raining down on me like so much R. Kelly youknowwhat, I got a little greedy.
What if I could sell off my car for $800+? I’d be rich beyond the wildest dreams of my first grade writing assignments dollar value not adjusted for inflation and could rule the world concept of “world” not adjusted for idiocy. Then reality hit like a fist-full of terrible porno acting.
My car needs about $500 in work before it’s deemed “not going to disintegrate into dust” by the local shop. It’s a terrible time to try and sell a car or anything worth more than $100 for that matter. And I’d need it for the winter.
I looked into an auto-sharing program and twas promising. I could sell the car, use pub-trans, walk or pick up one of these cars whenever those two were inconvenient. But those anti-war, pro-abortion, socialist fucks vomited directly into the eye of my hopes and dreams.
Apparently they have issue with alcohol-related offenses or something. Whatever. I have to wait until Mar18 to partake in this anti-american, spread-the-wealth ridiculousness. Sure, I could wait that long, but that’s not the point.
I’m going to sell four more things on CraigsList, buy up their entire operation and then reduce the minimum to six years and six months. This is America and we i shouldn’t have to stand for this. Or maybe I could use the car for the winter, fix it now and cosmetically later and sell it for more in the spring…
naw… that’s absurd.

I roll onto my back, start to sit up and my side explodes. Everything goes white. All of me aches, throbs or yells, protesting every slight movement. For a moment there is nothing but pain.
I close my eyes and lay still, going over the night before in my head. She was gorgeous, with large, dark eyes and near black hair. We were flirting, but only just. We walked outside with a group before a call for pizza. Then there’s an image the concrete sidewalk. (more…)
